Anarcho Punks on Acid Vol. 1

Anarcho-punk and London acid techno share, each in their own way, a taste for the margins, independence and muddy paths where making do is often the only option. With Anarcho Punks on Acid Vol. 1, Grow Your Own Records and Stay Up Forever pull on their camouflage gear and get their biggest cauldron out to cook up an album in the finest DIY tradition.
Four remixes, perfectly acidified by Stay Up Forever, with Chris Liberator, Sam DFL, The Geezer and Audio Pancake leading the charge. On the menu: four bands from the punk scene and the Grow Your Own Records catalogue — Anthrax, Rites Of Hadda, Dogshite and Virus — whose tracks are handed over to the producers and transformed into 303-drenched acid techno versions, while keeping that punk attitude that gives the project its bite.
And to top it all off, there’s a wildly drawn and screen-printed sleeve, straight from the Grow Your Own Records workshop. The record comes on red vinyl, with a strictly limited pressing of just 200 copies, some of which come in hand-printed sleeves. Needless to say, you’d better not hang around if you want to get your hands on one.
